Harriman Fjord Tidewater Glacier Multi-Day Tour:
$350 per day plus water taxi
Duration: 5-7 Days
Pedal/Paddle/Sail from Whittier out to the remote and spectacular Harriman Fjord, famous for its tidewater glaciers calving huge chunks of ice. Explore several Glaciers and camp on black sand beaches. This area has a large number of sea otters, so chances of seeing them up close is good. Water taxi back from the final camp to Whittier.
Summer Tour Booking & Cancellation Policy:
Multi-Day Tours: 50% of tour price is due at time of booking and the other 50% is due at the start of the tour. 95% refund if cancelled within 5 days of booking. 50% is refundable up to 30 days prior to trip departure and 100% is non-refundable within 30 days of trip departure.
Day Tours: Payment is due in full at the time of reservation. 100% refund if cancelled 30 days or more prior to tour date, 50% refund if cancelled 10 or more days prior to the tour date, no refunds within 10 days of the tour date. If Alaska Wild Guides has to cancel a day tour for any reason whatsoever, and rescheduling is not possible, a 100% refund will be provided.

The day before the tour, we’ll meet to size a drysuit, pack into dry bags, review maps, and watch an operation video.
Day 1 – Meet at the Bake Shop in Girdwood (not included) for a hearty breakfast and coffee before we depart We’ll then transport you through the tunnel to Whittier where we’ll put the last of our things in dry bags and load all gear and boats onto a water taxi. The water taxi will take us a long ways up Port Wells before dropping us at Pakenham Pt. Anchorage. We’ll unload and explore some ruins before beginning our kayak to the Coxe, Barry, and Cascade Glaciers, where we’ll set up camp on a black sand beach with a spectacular view of calving tidewater glaciers.
Day 2 – Break camp then kayak past the glaciers on our way to view Surprise Glacier and then on to Harriman Glacier, where we’ll camp at the foot of it.
Day 3 – After packing up, we’ll kayak around Point Doran and on to Hobo Bay, where we’ll set up camp for the night.
Day 4 – We’ll break camp and explore Bettles Bay State Marine Park and some ruins, then kayak to Zeigler Cove State Marine Park, and set up camp.
Day 5 – Break camp and kayak toward Whittier, stopping to hike to the waterfall at Poe Bay, Billings Beach, and the kittiwake rookery before ending the day back on the Whittier beach.
