What to Expect:
Come ride through winding forest, open fields and along parts of the historic Iditarod sled dog trail. We’ll stop for lunch at a picturesque spot where you can warm up with some hot chocolate and fill your bellies with a homemade lunch before returning to the trailhead.
This is a great tour for beginner riders and those wishing to experience a piece of Alaskan history off the beaten path. We meet in Willow (1.5 hour drive from Anchorage) at 10am at the Eaglequest Lodge where the tour begins with gearing up and riding instructions. You’ll get to ride for a full four hours and cover many miles of beautiful Alaska that you can go home and share stories about with friends and family.
Don’t worry about having the right gear because we have you cover. We provide full riding gear and lunch is included in the price. If you’d like transportation from Anchorage there is an additional $50 fee. Transportation discounts for groups of four or more are available.

This tour runs in the early season before Turnagain Pass and Spencer Glacier are opened by the National Forest Service. Once these areas are opened then this tour is no longer available

*Seeing wildlife is not guaranteed on any tour. If the glaciers or Turnagain Pass is opened by the National Forest Service this tour will be moved to Girdwood.
